A Day with Nowhere to Stay Challenge
What would you do if you had no car and nowhere to spend the day and evening? We challenge YOU to spend just one day with nowhere to stay in downtown Eau Claire. As a way to take part in National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, we invite you to spend the afternoon and evening of Thursday, November 19th experiencing the various services that the Eau Claire community provides to our friends and neighbors in need.
Schedule of Events:
3:00-5:00: Photo Essay and Open Floor at Positive Avenues
3:00-5:00: Tours of Beacon House and The Wellness Shack
3:00-8:00: Documentary "In the Shelters, In the Streets" showing at The Warming Center
5:00-6:30: Dinner at The Community Table
7:00-8:00: Panel Discussion at The Warming Center
8:00-11:00: "Sleepover"/Bonfire at Wilson Park
